Chimney repairs, masonry & roof connections.

Discuss your project

Look at the chimney and its connections.

Water near a chimney can originate at masonry, a cap, flashing, or another nearby roof detail. Cracked mortar and damaged brick also need to be considered in the context of the chimney’s overall condition.

Vesta’s chimney services include inspections, repairs, masonry restoration, partial or full rebuilding, cleaning, caps, and flashing. Tell us what has changed so the assessment can focus on the issue you are experiencing.

A clear scope comes first

A chimney estimate starts with the problem.

Leaks, deteriorated masonry, and changes in operation can require different kinds of work.

Let’s price your project

Free estimates, based on your property.

  1. The extent of the repair

Localized mortar or brick damage may call for a focused repair; broader deterioration may require rebuilding. Ask which findings support the proposed scope.

  2. Roof connections and access

Chimney height, roof slope, and access affect the work. Review flashing and the chimney top alongside masonry, especially if roofing work is also planned.

  3. What the proposal covers

Confirm which inspection, cleaning, masonry, cap, or flashing services are included. Share previous service records and ask about any findings that need further evaluation.

From first call to final review

What are the benefits of chimney repairs and maintenance?

Repairs can address deteriorated masonry and water entry at the chimney or its roof connection, helping protect nearby building materials. An assessment helps separate those issues from cleaning or operating concerns. Ask which components need attention and what follow-up care is appropriate; a cosmetic masonry repair alone does not establish the condition of the whole chimney.

Do you repair chimney flashing?

Yes. Flashing repair and replacement are included in Vesta’s chimney services. We can discuss this alongside roofing work when the two scopes overlap.

Can a leaking chimney be fixed with new mortar alone?

Not always. Water can enter through several parts of the chimney or the surrounding roof. The cause should be assessed before deciding whether mortar repair, flashing, a cap, or other work is appropriate.

Do you offer chimney rebuilding?

Yes. Vesta’s published service scope includes partial and full chimney rebuilding. An assessment is needed to understand the condition and define the work.

What information helps with a chimney estimate?

Tell us about the issue, when it occurs, any previous repairs, and whether roofing work is also planned. Ground-level photos and existing inspection records can help with the initial discussion.
